Laser-Hair-Reduction

Laser hair reduction, also known as laser hair removal, is a popular cosmetic procedure that uses concentrated beams of light (laser) to remove unwanted hair. The laser targets the pigment (melanin) in the hair follicles, damaging them and inhibiting or delaying future hair growth. This procedure is designed to provide long-lasting hair reduction and can be performed on various areas of the body, including the face, arms, legs, underarms, bikini area, and more.

1. Consultation: Before undergoing laser hair reduction, you'll have a consultation with a licensed and trained professional, usually a cosmetologist or licensed aesthetician.
During this consultation, your skin type, hair color, and medical history will be assessed to determine the most suitable treatment plan for you.
2. Preparation: In the weeks leading up to the procedure, you may be advised to avoid sun exposure and tanning, as well as plucking, waxing, or electrolysis, which can disturb the hair follicles targeted by the laser.

3. Procedure: On the day of the procedure, you'll be provided with protective eyewear to shield your eyes from the laser.
A handheld laser device is then used to deliver precise pulses of laser light to the targeted area.
The laser energy is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicles, damaging them and preventing or slowing down hair regrowth.
4. Sensation: Most people describe the sensation during the procedure as feeling like a rubber band snapping against the skin.
Some areas may be more sensitive than others, but the discomfort is generally tolerable.
